About Me

Kamel_LajiliMy name is Kamel, that’s an Arabic name and means something like “Perfection” (I am not kidding :-) ).

Originally born in Tunisia, moved to Germany to do my engineering studies in the late eighties.

I am a passionate dad of two young boys.

My role at BlackBerry is primarily Developer Evangelism but I also consultant and support developers having issues or questions with regard to our SDKs and Apps Eco-System in general.

I really do love my job because it gives me a lot and is very divers. It offers me the opportunity to do Research, Development, Marketing, Business Development, Customer Support, etc…

I cover Germany and divers countries in the Middle East and North Africa. My cultural background and language skills facilitate me to connect with developers in those regions quite well.

Prior to joining BlackBerry in 2008, I held various positions in the area of embedded mobile software development with another smartphone vendor for more than 10 years.

I have a diploma degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Technology in Aachen/Germany.
